The necessary minimum weight is particularly relevant for children so that the sensors work properly and help with balancing. Unfortunately, we cannot currently see whether there will be a meaningful hoverboard test by off road. The organization can decide for itself which products are tested and which are not. It is therefore at the discretion of Stiftung Warentest itself whether a hoverboard test by Stiftung Warentest will be published in the future. It is often the case that the product tests usually focus on the customer’s buying interest. A hoverboard test on off road can still be carried out.
Since these devices are becoming more and more popular with people and the range on the market has increased accordingly in recent years, we think it makes sense for a hoverboard test to be carried out on off roads. It is important that in the event of a Kids Hoverboards test by Stiftung Warentest, suitable criteria are used to compare the respective products. Only then, in our opinion, is such a test really useful and effective.
